Retractable steel canopies
Kopron's steel retractable tunnels and fixed industrial tents offer a solution for situations where three-dimensional closure is needed. Whether it is an indoor or outdoor situation, both can be achieved with a steel retractable tunnel from Kopron. A storm-proof outdoor solution is no problem either. Compared to aluminium retractable tunnels, steel harmonica tunnels are usually larger and can therefore be used for heavier purposes. Nevertheless, the principle is the same. Creating a shelter that prevents dust, noise, smells, moisture or sparks from spreading or entering.

Composition of a retractable tunnel.
Like an aluminium harmonica tunnel, the steel version also consists of a framework of arches, this time made of steel, fitted with pantographs and covered with a flame-extinguishing PVC tarpaulin. The tunnels are tensioned by means of a chain tensioning system. It is also possible to close off the front and back of the tunnel. This can be done using an industrial curtain or strip curtain, for example.
Available sizes
A retractable steel canopy can be supplied in various, very large, sizes. The span can be as much as 24 metres with a clearance height starting at 3.25 metres up to a maximum of 7.5 metres. They run on nylon wheels with bearings or steel wheels on a storm-proof rail. The larger versions are supplied with a storm-proof rail as standard. Depending on their length, the tunnels are equipped with at least one fixed section of approximately 1.6 metres.
Optionally motorized
Steel retractable tunnels can be fitted with motors driving both wheel pairs in each fixed section. With such a drive system, sliding the tunnel in and out is very easy. Even in less easily accessible locations.
