Rapid-folding doors, large spaces closed quickly
A rapid-folding door is a vertically folding door, ideal for screening off larger openings. The door panel consists of opaque plastic fabric, optionally fitted with vision windows. A rapid-folding door is suitable for both heavy and light operating conditions, as an internal or external door and for very high frequencies of use. A rapid-folding door, compared to a high-speed roll door, can be realised in much larger dimensions. The largest doors, also known as megadoors, go up to as much as 35 metres wide and as much as 30 metres high.
Wondering if a rapid-folding door might also be the solution for your needs?
Convenience
A rapid-folding door can be supplied with various impulse generators, allowing the operation of the door to be adjusted to your needs. Possibilities include:
- Pull switches
- Pressure switches
- Induction loops
- Radar motion detectors
- Remote controls
- External control
Partly because of this diversity of control options, a rapid-folding door can easily meet your requirements. The rapid-folding door normally closes by means of a pre-set time, optionally the door can also close after a separate impulse. Naturally, this closing movement is secured by means of a photocell and wireless contact strip. Additional safety devices are also available, such as an infrared screen or a photocell light strip with infrared rays.
Megadoors
Megadoors, or hangar doors, are exceptionally large rapid-folding doors suitable for the largest projects. For example, they are widely used in shipyards and aircraft hangars, but many a megadoor is also in use in the heavy industry and waste processing. With a size of up to 35 metres wide and 30 metres high, virtually no opening is too big for a megadoor.
